
Andy Clarke (aka Malarkey) is a freelance designer, writer and creative
director who is obsessive about design and works with clients to help develop strong brands. Andy believes that defining a strong visual
identity and a fantastic customer experience is key to developing a successful brand. For him, a great customer experience makes a great
online business.
Andy Clarke started Stuff and Nonsense in 1998 and the web sites and e-commerce stores they have created have made the company an industry leader.
Stuff and Nonsense is well-known nationally and internationally for creating strong designs and highly accessible sites. Their work is regularly featured
in international design galleries including CSS Beauty, CSS Vault and the Web Standards Awards. Their clients include local, national and international businesses,
charities and government bodies. Andy Clarke has designed for the The Woodland Trust and for Invigor8's clients: the British Heart Foundation and Save The Children and WWF UK.
Outside of the studio, Andy also writes a popular design journal, And All That Malarkey and is on the Web Standards Awards judging panel.
Andy is also a member of the Web Standards Project.
Outside the studio Andy presented at the @media2005 conference in London in June 2005 and is a confirmed speaker for @media2006. Andy is also featured in these publications:
